A system to provide accuracy in compliance, image quality, and regulatory continuity based on DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine) header data. The system provides a base set of thresholds as well as a user customizable set of thresholds. These thresholds provide a reference of tolerance allowed in medical imaging modalities and remove the human element of error and maintain continuity. This system is comprised of a computer, software and the computer to be hooked to a network. The computer can be a standalone type the houses the software or the software can be written as a plugin to an existing PACS (Picture Archiving and Communications System) system.
