The Rapid Deployment Solar System solves many problems by offering individuals and communities a versatile power source that can provide electricity for various applications while withstanding the harshest conditions. Whether on land or water, Earth or the frontiers of space. The Rapid Deployment Solar(RDS) System can provide dependable energy solutions with minimal infrastructure, manpower, maintenance, and headache.
The RDS system starts with a virtually indestructible rotational molded or 3D printed housing that doubles as a mounting platform for various sizes and types of thin film solar panels. In less than 30 seconds, a single unit system can be deployed and begin generating electricity. Since the system is environmentally sealed, it can be stored or mounted anywhere, and will be ready to work at a moments notice. To achieve larger outputs, the system can expand to almost unlimited potential. The RDS system is also capable of floating while generating electricity. This allows connected units to take up bodies of water instead of valuable land. The panels are flexible allowing them to maintain operation in rough waters all over the world.
Different systems for various applications...
- Smaller systems are capable of generating electricity for the household uses, recreational activities, emergencies, transportation, scientific studies, exploration, agriculture, light duty construction, entertainment, etc.
- Multiple unit systems can increase storage capacity, output, and be assembled on site. They can be used as primary or backup power for homes, businesses, heavy duty construction, aid organizations, medical facilities, communities, etc.
- Massive power stations(1 megawatt+) can be assembled offshore using minimal lifting equipment, offshore support vessels, etc.
The average weight of a single unit is approximately 25 lbs.** allowing it to be easily transported by a single person. Offshore systems may use larger units that can easily be transported by 2 adults. To avoid unnecessary lifting and injury, the units are also designed to roll to the desired location.
The Problems we are attempting to solve:
- Current electrical generators are heavy, expensive, do not provide sufficient output, or simply require fuel and other consumables.
- Most portable energy sources are vulnerable to the elements. have various moving parts, and require constant maintenance.
- Fuel-powered generators cannot be used indoors due to harmful fumes.
- Fixed solar systems are difficult to install, and are not easily disassembled making them vulnerable to falling trees and debris. You can't travel with your fixed system making the power unavailable much of the time.
On a larger-scale...
- Energy projects are usually massive undertakings. Logistically, environmentally, and monetarily.
- Dependance on heavy/awkward dimension cargo, expensive vessels/rigs, and heavy equipment makes most energy projects difficult to justify on many levels.
- Logistically, the energy industry is inefficient and requires expensive heavy machinery to lift massive objects, transport them to remote places, then perform more heavy lifts to unload the equipment.
- Pollution, environmental devastation, and the costs associated are difficult to avoid during these projects.
- The current electrical grid in many countries is dated and vulnerable. Some communities lack a grid altogether.
- Additional problems our systems address could include: Keeping beverages cold at the beach, lack of EV charging stations, lack of disaster preparedness in communities, dependence on nations/pipelines for heat in the winter, infrastructure vulnerability, conflicts over resources, fuel prices, air pollution, fracking tremors, oil spills, chemicals/heavy metals in ground water, nuclear radiation, destruction of ecosystems, too much ocean real estate remaining unused., etc.
These problems can mean the difference between productivity and downtime, even life and death.
