[Viewed 1655 times]
Inspiration for the tool: ( Patent # LAX-734 United States )
I do a lot of plumbing work and always have difficulty reaching the plastic wing nuts used to secure old and new faucets to sinks. It occurred to me that a specialized tool could be developed to make the process of accessing, loosening and tightening such nuts easier.
BENEFITS:
1) Makes it easy to reach and engage plastic basin nuts on the threaded fittings of sink fixtures/faucets.
2) Provides increased leverage to facilitate quick loosening and tightening of basin nuts.
3) Saves time and effort.
4) Increases efficiency during DYI or work-related task.
5) Prevents stress and strain on the fingers, wrist and arms.
6) Reduces the risk of injury to fingers and hands.
FEATURES:
1) Unit would feature a long shaft for extended reach.
2) "T"- shaped handle would allow for secure, comfortable gripping of the tool.
3) Slotted socket profile would securely engage the wings on plastic faucet retaining nuts for increased leverage.
4) Slim design fits easily in a toolbox.
5) Durable forged steel construction.
