A cell balancing software program that executes on a computer system embedded inside a multi-cell battery and includes a means to control an external charging system.

Car batteries are capable of lasting 12 years. The average starter battery, however, is dead in 4.6 years.

By putting the battery in control of the charge cycle and by giving it the means to maintain a proper balance between the individual battery cells, the average life of the car battery will double.
