It is disclosed a device provided with a touch screen comprising an outer screen for the touch by an user, a LCD screen , and a plurality of LEDs located below said outer screen for the backlighting of said LCD screen characterized in that at least one of said backlight LEDs is an UV-LED and in comprising guiding means to guide UV rays , emitted by said at least one UV-LED , towards the outer surface of said outer screen to sterilize said outer surface of said touch screen . It is further disclosed a Method for sterilizing the outer surface of a touch screen provided with an outer screen for the touch by an user, comprising the step of: a) emitting UV rays , b) irradiate said outer surface of said touch screen (2)with said UV rays emitted during said step a), characterized in that said UV rays are emitted from behind said outer surface of said outer screen and in comprising a step c) of guiding said UV rays emitted during said step a), towards the outer surface of said touch screen.
