The N-CUBIC Visualisation System will be an online, multi-user, educational, virtual reality environment; within which users both view and manipulate two and three-dimensional projections of n-dimensional objects, each representing various phenomena in time and space. Such representation of natural, social, political, economic and other events or trends as inter-relating visual forms; enables researchers or students to both gain and communicate an intuitive understanding of the subject matter.

As human beings evolved to discover and interact with a world of visual forms, long before complex language; we are able to process visual information more instinctively than that expressed by language. If a picture can say a thousand words; a shared, three-dimensional, interactive, virtual world can do even better.

Gesture based input, for computer games, is now a well-established technology. The Oculus Rift virtual reality headset is soon to become a common household item, following its release in 2015. Together, these two innovations will bring full immersive virtual reality into the domestic environment.

The N-CUBIC Visualisation System will use this soon to be commonplace virtual reality technology to deliver a shared, fully immersive and intuitive educational/research environment to its users.
