This is a universal car/truck shift cable repair kit. Often times the ends of the cables that connect the cable to the transmission (or shifter) break. On some car/trucks, the process is several hours to replace a part that could simply be repaired (stronger than the original) in 20 minutes. The repair part never existed until now. Take a 2007 Nissan Versa for example. An average shop quotes over $600 in labor to replace the shifter cable. This is primarily because the exhaust needs to be dropped just to get at the floor mounted shifter cable. All of this labor can be done away with by simply replacing the end of the cable instead of the entire thing.
