Flight recorder, crash indicator and crash area image recorder

According to the present invention there is provided a transport mean data recorder arrangement (i.e. a black box recorder) for recording operational working parameters of a transport mean comprising a recording unit that records signals corresponding to operational parameters of a transport mean, and/or signals corresponding to sounds propagated inside and/or around a transport mean, and/or signals corresponding to instructions sent to any electronic systems on a transport mean, wherein the data recorder arrangement is connectable to a transport mean in a disengageable manner providing a disengagement of the data recorder arrangement in a case of a determination of a possibility of an alarm situation occurrence, which is characterized in that the data recorder arrangement additionally comprises an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) to which said recording unit is connected. The UAV is preferably a rotocraft UAV (e.g. a quadrotor or multirotor, a hexacopter or a octocopter).
Thanks to the proposed connection of the data recorder arrangement to the unmanned aerial vehicle, the data recorder arrangement may be automatically transferred onto a safe area distant from a crash location. Optionally the UAV may be provided with an appropriately implemented algorithm of searching and reaching particular locations to which its data recorder arrangement is to be delivered.
For example in a case of a sea accident, the UAV control algorithm may control the UAV such that the UAV shall reach the nearest land area or the nearest ship.
Optionally the UAV may find and then reach the nearest rescue center or military unit.
A great advantage of the data recorder arrangement provided with the UAV is that the data recorder arrangement may be transported in a substantially arbitrary chosen location.
It is particularly important in a case where a probability exists that the proximate cause of a transport mean crash was purposeful activity of third parties, for example terrorists.
A typical data recorder arrangement as known from the prior art remain near a crash location and thus may be relatively easily accessible for these third parties (for example terrorists), especially if a crash occurred on a territory controlled by the third parties. Therefore in such a case, third parties may make purposively damage a data recorder arrangement and thus corrupt the data/information recorded therein (that may reveal the true cause of a crash) or even make completely impossible to read out the data/information recorded therein.
Whereas providing a data recorder arrangement with the UAV unit enables for transporting a data recorder
arrangement onto a safe area (for example onto a territory of a state, or onto an area of an embassy of a state, which a crashed transport mean belongs to) and thus prevent any manipulations made to a data recorder arrangement by unauthorized entities.
According to the present invention there is also provided an indicator arrangement of a position of a transport mean crash, connectable to a transport mean in a disengageable (detachable) manner providing a disengagement of the indicator arrangement in a case of an alarm condition determination, and provided with a transmitter of an emergency signal, which is characterized in that the indicator arrangement additionally comprises an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) connected to the transmitter of an emergency signal.
According to the present invention there is furthermore provided a crash area image and/or sound registration arrangement, that is characterized in that it is connectable to a transport mean in a disengageable manner providing a disengagement of the crash area image and/or sound registration arrangement in a case of a determination of a possibility of an alarm situation occurrence, and
comprises a recording arrangement for recording image and/or sounds from a crash area wherein the recording arrangement is mounted on an independent aerial vehicle (preferably an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)).
Financial informationAll the solutions are disclosed in one European patent application EP 16001553.3 filed only for the purpose of an obtaining and protecting a priority right.
