The patent provides a method for producing a dental prosthesis that consists on
the following steps:
² obtaining three-dimensional digital data related to a patient's dentition;
² designing a virtual prosthesis using the 3D data;
² transmitting digital data of the virtual prosthesis to an automated prototyping sys-
tem;
² producing a prototype made with of material that can be ablated;
² covering the prototype with a hardening material to produce a mold;
² casting the dental prosthesis by ¯lling the mold with a metal and removing the
hardening material.
