ABOUT MY INVENTION
I have developed garlic-peeling machine, which peels garlic while maintaining the original property. It is fully automated machine, made from food grade quality material. It is designed for peeling garlic in bulk quantity, is energy efficient, and saves labor. It economizes operating cost and removes capacity constraints caused by shortage of human laborers in peak seasons for pickle industry, paste ,powder,dehydrated garlic industries. The peeling effectiveness is very high at about 90% while the damage to the peeled garlic is very low at about 2%. This machine is maintenance free and requires only labor during operation to feed the garlic.

PROBLEM IT SOLVES
Garlic has been a part of World culture for a long time and enjoys a prominent place in cooking and medicine. Garlic oil is believed to have medicinal qualities and is duly recognized in Indian medicine systems such as Ayurveda and Siddha. Not all parts of the garlic are edible. The garlic has to be broken into cloves and then the skin has to be peeled before consumption. This work is highly labor intensive and consumes a lot of time. This has put a major constraint for the industries to scale up their capacity to process garlic. High labor cost increases the running cost for industries.

ACHIEVEMENTS
I am the recipient of National Innovation foundation Award in the year 2005 for Garlic peeler and lemon cutter machines in India and again in the year 2006 I received an award for Meritorious Invention which was given by National Research Development Corporation in India.
