The skimming systems and methods described herein provide for efficient directing, collecting and removal of debris from surface of a fluid body. The debris may be particulate, aggregative, homogeneous or heterogeneous, fluid or solid or any combination." The principles of the system were developed specifically for cleaning swimming pools and likely can also be effective on the sea for the collection and removal of oil spills.
