The present invention relates to a life-saving devise and method for escaping from a second floor or a third floor of a burning building, Life-Slide is a portable unit on wheels with handle, weighing approximately 42 pounds that sits in front of any window on the second floor of any home. The slide is activated by pulling a handle on the side of the "box", a "pillow" at the bottom of the box inflates and pushes the actual slide to the window level. The slide then is simply pushed out the window. A 2nd handle appears and is pulled to inflate life-slide. A set of 2 canisters full of compressed gas, and 2 activators connected to the canisters fill the pillow and the actual slide. There are 12 inch sides so a child or adult wont fall off the slide. The slide inflates within 8 seconds. A parent can safely "throw" their children on to the slide in any position. The parents then follow by falling head first out the window. We have received a 2nd parent and are looking for a partner or a company that can bring life-slide.com to the marketplace.
With a young couple or aging parents or grandparents would they be able to carry all their infants or young children down a rope or metal ladder? We proved it's quite difficult with one adult and 4 children at 3 AM in the morning.

Financial information

We are looking for a company that manufactures home fire safety equipment that can bring life-slide to the marketplace. We will also look at any offer to buy life-slide or venture into a license with royalties or any other mutual beneficial arrangement.

According to the National Association of Home Builders and the National Fire Institute in Emmitsburg, Maryland, life-slide has no down side. We have approximate individual costs to build and have individual sales costs. Home Builders that we have spoken with want to see life-slide on the market as an added safety feature to new homes they are building. YES, there is a very strong market. For an existing manufacturing company with distribution, life-slide will generate a new stream of revenue. The NAHB in Washington, DC estimated (off the record) that within 3 years of manufacturing 70,000 units would be sold.
