The component comprises a surface, which has a layer made of polyethylene terephthalate and polyimide coming into contact with the peroxy-fuel that comprises organic peroxides. The component is selected from a tank (1), a fuel line (2,2a), a fuel distributor (15) with a reservoir (14) and multiple injector systems (22), and a fuel atomizer (21). The polyethylene terephthalate or polyimide layer has a thickness of 0.005 micron to 2 micron, particularly 0.005 to 1 micron. The polyimide is selected from polyimidazole, polybismaleimide, polybenzimidazole, polyimidesulfone or polymethacrylimide.
