Combination carrying strap and tether for snowboards

A combination device is featured for both tethering a snowboard to the boot of a user and for carrying a snowboard over the shoulder. The device has a retraction unit that houses a spring-wound strap within. The retractable unit has a flange for attaching the unit to one of the bindings of the snowboard. Screws are used to affix the flange, and hence the retraction unit, to the binding. The combination tether and carrying strap is easily accessible by pulling on the hooking latch, which is attached to the retractable strap.

The device could be used as a tether by pulling on the hook latch and latching to the metal ring on the boot. When not in use, just unlatch from the metal ring and the strap retracts back to the unit. Most, if not all ski and snowboard resorts require a tether for snowboards.

The device is also easily converted to a carrying strap for the board by pulling on the hook latch and latching to the other binding. By putting the users arm between the nylon strap and snowboard with the strap resting on the users shoulder the user in now hands free from carrying their snowboard with their hands.

As well, this device is used for carrying your snowboard to and from the parking lot where you park your car to the lift chairs. Ideal for the snowboard fanatic to snowboard over jumps and rather riding the remainder of trails, you may use the retractable carrying strap to walk back up to the jump to continue the jumps.
