This gearbox is the only CVT gearbox utilizing a positive drive system. It is unique and it certainly overcomes all of the drawbacks of current CVT technology. A search indicates that there is nothing even similar to this gearbox design.

1. It works through a six chain belt, sprockets and spur gears.
2. The chain is in constant contact with the sprockets, thereby making it a positive drive system. No sliding belts, clutches, fluid drives etc.
3. It can have a ratio range of up to 18 to 1 and still be compact. This makes it very suitable for large trucks, which normally have many, many gears.
4. It is ideal for traction control and the response is instantaneous – no lag or slip.
