Camp Dough Cooker
[Category : - Camping and Outdoors ]
[Viewed 2600 times]
A food cooking device for cooking dough over a campfire. The dough can then be used for a pocket to fill with pudding, hot dog, etc.
Many people use a wooden dowel to cook dough in a similar manner. The problems with using a wooden dowel are:
1) They are hard to clean and often get moldy over time.
2) They do not conduct heat to the inside of the dough pocket, so the inside stays undercooked, while the outside gets burned.
3) They are cumbersome and hard to store/transport
4) They must be replaced regularly due to burn marks on the wood, cleaning issues, etc.
My invention solves each of these issues. My product is made of stainless steel. The benefits are as follows:
1) Stainless steel is very easy to clean
2) Stainless steel conducts heat very well. Additionally, the center of the tube is open to allow heat to enter the pocket and cook from the inside
3) My device is only about 5 inches long. It attaches via a set screw to a hot dog fork, or any stick found in the woods. It can be easily carried in your pocket.
4) Stainless steel will last for a very long time, so you don't need to replace regularly.
