Compact inflatable vehicle child safety seat/booster/carrier
Field of the invention
The present invention relates to an inflatable vehicle child safety seat in small dimensions.
More particularly, the present invention relates to a child safety seat which inflates for use in the vehicle and destined to drive children safely in the vehicle and for elevating in order to sit in the house for children.
Background of the Invention
Other objects and advantages of the invention will become apparent as the description proceeds.
Traveling in the vehicle without confining devices is the main risk factor for children mortality in the vehicle.
Unbelted children are in double mortality risk than seat belted children, therefore it is mandatory by law to harness children until the age of 9 in the vehicle.
The instructions determined that children until the age 3 have to be harnessed in a safety seat; and children from ages 3-9 have to be harnessed in a safety seat or elevating seat (booster); an infant by the age of one year old has to be driven as opposed to the drive direction; and to seat a child in a safety seat facing air bag is forbidden.
Right usage of the safety seat reduces 71% - 92% the baby's mortality and severe injuries in car accidents, it is very important to fit the safety seat to the child's age and weight, and to affix safety seat/cot seat/booster at the correct and safety way to the vehicle seat. Until today parents and caregivers used safety seat made of inflexible materials destined to drive children safely, the existing seats until today were clumsy and takes up a large space when it is not in use.
The existing seats take up a large volume space in the vehicle trunk, especially while one or more safety seats placed in the trunk, and unable to insert the trunk additional capacity of articles such as shopping bags, suitcases and different articles. The space is also taken in the vehicle when it is not in usage and in places like home or other places it takes a large space of storing.
The safety seats in use today are difficult for assemble in the vehicle.
The safety seats which are in use today are inconvenient to store in the house and take up a large volume space in the storage location.
The object of the present invention is to reduce the safety seat volume space while storing, in the house or in the vehicle trunk and when necessary to install and use it simply and quickly.
Summary of the Invention
The present invention enables to routinely store in the vehicle trunk inflatable seat which almost not takes up a space and it is possible to use it immediately when necessary.
The inflatable seat described in the present invention can become full with air in several ways: by the user's mouth inflation, or manual pump, or electrical pump. Which connects to the vehicle lighter or electrically or by filling the seat with CO2 gas compressed in a gas tank and by faucet and by filling mouthpiece it is possible to inflate the seat in order to reach the desired dimension. When the user walks on the street, he can take the inflatable seat in two main modes:
A. Folded mode having no air.
B. In inflatable mode while the baby sits inside.
The inflatable vehicle child safety seat described in the present invention can be build of a combination of internal part of inflexible material such as plastic or rubber that can be inflated, and external part attached to it made of layer that can be hardens such as leather or like leather, it can also be made from flexible material that will be hard in order to be hardened and will have the suitable level hardness for sitting.
The inflatable vehicle child safety seat described in the present invention will be assembled in every car seat, at the right seat and the left seat, the front or the back seat and appose to the driving direction without special installment.
The inflatable seat provides greater safety during accident than inflexible seat since it shorten the rescue duration, when the baby is trapped in the vehicle and needed to be rescued, it is possible to tear the seat by using a sharp article or by opening the cover and taking out the air, while using the an inflexible safety seat it requires to use complicated and complex instruments for rescue.
Multiplicity of air compartments will provide a safety advantage in explosion one part will maintain the other compartments and its stability and will reduce the child injuries.
According to one of the preferred embodiments of inflatable child safety seat described in the present invention it is possible that the seat will be build in the vehicle and can be in use after opening seat by pressing the button to inflate the seat. It is also possible to use the opening for releasing the refill material in a size of a regular plastic bottle cork to that if the user loses the cork he will not lose the seat and can use any other plastic bottle cork located everywhere.
The present invention presents three methods for using the inflating seat, at the three methods subject of discussion is inflatable seat.
Method a - Safety seat - destined for up to 3 years.
Inflating the child seat regularly - the uniqueness is that it can be easily transported, and quickly be stored in its formation. The user can deflate the air from the inflatable seat, and fold it to small and convenient dimensions for carrying and storing in short time. The user can inflate the safety seat with filling material in preferred ways and to inflate it when necessary and use it quickly, effectively and safely. The safety seat connects to the vehicle seat with safety harness build in regular vehicle.
That way the lower harness below the child and the upper harness behind the inflating chair through the loops (Velcro) destined for it. The child connects to the inflating seat through straps attached to the inflating seat.
The inflating seat described in the present invention comprises Velcro loops for attaching the lower harness behind the seat which enables installing the seat apposed to the driving direction to ages 0-12 months.
It is possible to insert inflexible material (such as plywood) which hardens the seat more.
Permanent or temporary straps at the sides of the seat which make it possible to use it as an infant cot seat after removing from the vehicle.
Method b - an elevating safety seat - "booster" destined for children from age 3 to 9.
Inflating the seat only and the back rest remains airless that way it can be useable as a booster (elevating), in order to enable partly inflating of the seat only it requires to divide the seat to two separable inflating parts, seat separately and back rest separately and it is possible only when inflating air compartments of the seat and not the back rest. The elevating safety seat in method b has several air bags in different inflating level, in accordance to the child's size.
Method c - domestic use - booster for feeding and for the vehicle
It is possible to use the inflatable seat for domestic needs such as elevating the seat to the table height and it is possible to attach it to regular chair in the house with straps attached to the booster with spin able straps at the back and the front straps to attach under the seat.
According to a different preferred embodiment the inflatable safety seat described in the present invention will comprise thin safety belts in order to belt the child to the booster.
The elevating safety seat in methods b and c having several air bags with different inflating levels in accordance to the child size and the air bags that are not in use could be stored in a zipper attached to the booster. Through inflating rests for the hands it is possible to stabilize it with harnesses and with friction material to keep from movements.
Brief description of the drawings
The present invention will be fully described in Fig 1 to 4.
These figures are the embodiments of several forms of the present invention with no intention to reduce the embodiment's extent.
The present invention may be better understood in conjunction with the following figures:
FIG. 1 illustrates an isometric schema of an inflatable vehicle child safety seat installed on the vehicle seat according to the present invention. Financial information
I had this Idea when my family started to grow and the booster seats have been to balky
as I started the procedure with my patent I had a very good offer of $150k as a outright buy.
Unfortunately my advisers told me I should go for licences with royalty so I can be a part of every sell.
I was stupid and I listened top them. as today my paperwork are continuously covered with dust and they don't proceed nothing.
Today as a father of a big family am interested in all sorts of offers to be negotiated.
The market potential is huge as all families, Taxis... could have them in the boots only as emergency in case a child what's to get a lift.
