How to use the search function of the website ?

FreePatentAuction uses an advanced search function and allows you to use some connectors to create advanced searches.

Example of connectors include :

* is a truncation operator meaning that pat* will return results containing the words patent, patented, patently etc...
-word means the that word must not be present. For example, patent -auction will return results containing patent but not auction
using quotes ("") means that you want to search for the sentence between the quotes. For example "patent auction" will return listings containing the terms patent and auction together.
